Austria has a long tradition in the construction and operation of road and rail tunnels, a field in which user safety and the integration of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions are becoming increasingly important. In the context of the very positive experience of our previous events, this international conference offers a unique platform for the intensive exchange of knowledge and provides an insight into the latest developments in the following key areas:

• Ventilation of underground infrastructure facilities
• Evaluation of safety-related measures in underground infrastructure facilities
• System tests for the commissioning of road and rail tunnels, including regular tests during operation
• Insights into practical experience from the operation of road and rail tunnels
• Strategies and methods for continuous improvement and modernization of tunnels during operation
• Implementation of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for underground infrastructure facilities
• Discussion of topics relating to the use of alternative propulsion systems and resilience in underground infrastructure facilities

The symposium serves as a valuable forum for the exchange of expertise and fosters a collaborative environment that drives sustainable and safe development.
