In memory of Prof. Stefan Schuy, founder of biomedical engineering in Graz in 1971 and founding president of the Austrian Society for Biomedical Engineering, we celebrate from September 30th – October 1st, 2021 this round anniversary with numerous conference events. In addition to an attractive scientific program with invited plenary lectures, scientific talks and poster sessions and a panel discussion, this year we honor the scientific achievements of young researchers with a number of awards. Accepted submissions are presented as lectures or posters and published online in the conference proceedings (TU Graz publishing with DOI reference).
